This was the second time that we have used Denzil to sell a property for us. He got a contract on both houses the first day the house was opened. Denzil is very easy to talk to, uses plain simple language and has an incredible insight into real estate, especially, we believe, in the Southern area. This time our buyers had trouble obtaining finance, if it wasn't for Denzil who knew of a Finance Broker, and who ultimately obtained them finance within 24 hours, I don't think our house would have sold. P.S. His dad makes great wine too!!!!
We couldn’t have been happier with the way Denzil guided us through the whole process of selling our home. From the beginning he gave good advice e.g. what sort of things would be good to do around the house to give it appeal to a larger demographic, to what would be the best type of advertising for us to use. Which proved to be exactly right,as we had an extremely well attended first open and never needed a second as Denzil got us two offers from that open. Denzil negiated to get us the best offer which exceeded our expectations. We found him to be honest, helpful, friendly and above all very skilled at his job. I was a little disappointed that we put extra money into the property for little benefit and it would have been less stressful to sell as is and receive slightly less money. In hindsight I am not sure that the money we put in benefited the sellers. Also disappointed, again in hindsight that we were not updated with other McGain properties while selling ours via McGain. We found our new home by coincidence, not via McGain communication. Finally Denzil is a great chap and I realise he is busy but once the documents were signed he was unfortunately not available at date of settlement or after, which I thought were crucial times. In comparison one of the chaps who we bought our house off of, was available numerous times and it felt like he steered us through the whole course, even a few weeks after the sale when we had a question. This is an opinion from someone who has not sold a house for many years.
