Cancel Appointment - Last Minute (Terrible Experience After signing Unconditional Contract)

Everything was very quick around signing document to purchase property. However, when it came to inspecting the property privately...it was terrible experience. I have booked two days in advance to inspect the place at 5:00pm on 28th of August. He has assured me it would be fine to see the property because the property is currently vacant and stage. I have arranged everyone to come to Brisbane so they can see the place. I received a text message from the agent this afternoon and advice that we weren't able to see the property due to owner request. The text message came in at 3:28pm. I am appalled that it was text message and not even a phone call. I just wish that I didn't sign unconditional contract after this treatment. Its not a great experience after point of sale. I find it very hard to believe that an appoint could have cancelled last minute... as you mentioned the property was vacant and the place was stage for selling (the owner move out of premises). Is it possible that the agent had other priorities and decide to cancel my appointment last minute. Disappointing Service.

Hi Jemi-Prince & Hugo, Thank you for your feedback, I called you and left a message as I would like to discuss this matter with you further - I welcome your return call. As you're aware you were in a multiple offer situation and the owners had to make a decision within a certain time frame that was reasonably quick to provide yourself and the other buyers with an equal opportunity, in this instance we were thrilled to assist you in securing this fantastic home. We had originally organised to meet at the property on Monday afternoon/evening for you to take a few measurements which the owners were more than happy to accommodate. Unfortunately you had to reschedule to Tuesday afternoon/evening as you wanted to bring two family members through with you that weren't available on Monday. Again, both us and the owners were happy to accommodate. We then received a call from our owners explaining that they had a situation arise where they would be at the property during the same time we had arranged to take you through, therefore we needed to reschedule. We called you straight away at 3:26pm however didn't reach you, so we sent you a text message as well at 3:28pm to provide you with as much notice as possible for the inconvenience. As we relayed to you, the owners were extremely apologetic and offered to take any measurements for you and also offered to accommodate another inspection at a time that suited you, we have not heard back from you as yet. We are very disappointed to hear you've had a 'terrible experience' with us for a situation that was out of our control and that we have done our very best to rectify. Our team prides itself on providing '5 star' service and has been successful in doing so as you can see from all of our other reviews. We look forward to continuing to assist you through to a successful settlement day where you can move in and enjoy your new home.
