We believe that Elsie has a very good understanding of the real-estate market in the area and is extremely good with her communication skills, however, we are disappointed with the final resultant price obtained, we feel that with a little more effort by Elsie we could have resulted in a better outcome. We know that the final acceptance was our decision but feel that Elsie could have advised us a much better, because after all we thought that she would have been working towards our best interest and not the buyers.

As a first home buyer, the purchasing of our first property was one that was meant to be memorable, but turned into a stressful and confusing period. Initially when looking at properties Elsie was faultless. From our initial viewing at our eventual home, and viewings at houses that weren't suited to our needs she was extremely helpful and was happy to go out of her way to help us with anything that we required. Her responses to emails and phone calls was prompt and professional, and we were extremely satisfied. Once we put an offer on the house that we wanted, she was again more than happy to go out of her way, opening the office on a public holiday to finalise the offer and view the home. Once our finance came back as approved, this is when we all but lost contact with Elsie, and the professionalism fizzled away. Soon after the finance was approved, Elsie contacted us requesting to move the settlement date to suit the sellers, which due to pre-arranged removals we were unable to do. Her response was a single word, and that is all we heard from her until our final inspection of the property. On the day of the final inspection, she was 20 minutes late to the house, no courtesy call was given to let my wife know, with her having to call Elsie to find her whereabouts. On the day after settlement Elsie was on holidays so we were dealing with another agent at the real estate, we were to receive the keys at midday to the house. At 1130am we had to call to ask whether or not the keys would be ready or not, as we had no correspondence at all regarding it. All that was said to us was that the keys were left in a drop box for us, the code was given to us and that was all. The agent said that they would call us and see if we had settled in to the house, see if we had troubles etc. It has now been over two weeks, and there has been no phone call from the real estate, except when my wife also gave a poor review of Elsie to Ray White.
When we first spoke to Elsie I stressed that we wanted to know a realistic sale price - what figure could we actually expect to get. I was disappointed that the figure advised was nearly 9% out, considering the market didn't shift that much during the period the house was on the market. Considering what appears to be Elsie's excellent market and area knowledge I fully expected to get close to what she originally advised as realistic. Perhaps I'm being hard, with it not being my area of expertise and considering the terrible market we were selling into. Apart from that, Elsie was excellent; a great communicator and quick to respond. Very professional and a successful sale at the end of the day. I would highly recommend Elsie.
