In reality, there’s no difference between the so-called top agents in WA and your average local agent — they all use the same platforms and follow the same formula. Rather than aiming for the highest possible price in a peak market, the agent pushed for a quick sale. He refused to adjust the marketing strategy, ignored market evidence, and showed no genuine commitment to securing the best outcome for me. The focus was clearly on closing the deal fast, collecting commission, and moving on to the next client. At a time when strong market conditions should work in the seller’s favour, the lack of drive, flexibility, and advocacy was glaring. This experience reinforced my view: titles and rankings mean nothing if the agent isn’t truly working in your best interest. POSITIVES On the positive side, the agent offered a few thousand discount on fees, presented himself in a highly professional manner, and kept us consistently updated after every home open.
