Unfortunately our specific demand for delayed settlement as a vendor, was not met nor communicated properly to the buyer and there was no advice to us nor to our solicitor to assist with the sale as per our wishes. Consequently, we were forced to leave our property in a rush and bear the costs for rental elsewhere for 1 month. The sale price was also much lower than anticipated. This is regarding sale of Parramatta house, with contract of sale from Dec 2023 and settlement in Feb 2024. Fiasco, stress and unnecessary pressures for me & my family with 2 small kids and pet dog.
