Four years ago, my wife and I decided to sell our home which overlooked the Brisbane River in the Western suburbs of Brisbane. We consulted a high-profile local agent and listed the property. Over the next four years, we had four different agents to market our property. Each agent charged us marketing costs and photography costs plus online boost fees. Some did videos, others did newspaper advertising and all listed on realestate.com.au. We spent over $100,000 in marketing fees without generating a single legitimate offer. The agents often over-inflated the sale price just to secure a listing. In retrospect, some agents seemed more interested in promoting their own profile then selling our property. Finally, we met Alex Jordan and Frazer Watson from McGrath Real Estate. We had never dealt with McGrath before and we were very cautious that they would be the same as the previous agents. But quickly we realised that they were a higher quality agent. They offered informative advice on marketing and price expectations. Marketing costs were minimised. McGrath ran the most professional campaign of any of the five agents to market our property. Buyers were qualified and informed before attending the property. The professional campaign generated real buyers and soon the property was sold. I cannot recommend McGrath Real Estate more highly and in particular the efforts of Alex Jordan and Frazer Watson. Nothing seemed too much trouble and the job was done.

Both gentlemen are professional in the extreme. Efficient and helpful throughout the whole sales process. Communication was First Class and information was passed on in a timely manner. They were always punctual (usually 15 to 20 minutes before schedule) for openings and/or sole inspections and their attention to detail in assisting to prepare our home was the best we had experienced in all the home and business sales we have had over the decades.
