Communication was distinctly underwhelming.
It's a shame really because our initial impression of Gavin was wonderfully realistic, direct and confidence inspiring agent. He didn't over-quote or over-sell.
The wheels started to fall off the experience when one of his employees (Bodine) essentially said we should accept the first offer on the first weekend - some ~5.9% under asking. This was a high-pressure approach from an agent we'd had nothing to do with to date that we thought was inappropriate.
There was ~6 weeks of delays between offer accepted and contracts exchanging which we thought was inappropriately long without any meaningful communication or expectation management.
However, in Gavin's absence, John Longmire however made contact and communicated perfectly about the delays, giving us the complete story which understandably put us at ease and the sale eventually went through. Couldn't speak highly enough of John!
I genuinely think we were a good vendor, realistic and took every piece of advice when offered.
In the end we ended up achieving the price we agreed on by not taking Bodine's advice.
We'd maybe use them again, but we would be much more prescriptive from day one as to the level of communication we expected.
