George initially overpromised on the sale price ($830K-$850K), but we sold for $776K, which I can partly attribute to market changes. However, my main issue is George's extreme unresponsiveness and lack of care, especially towards the end. I paid almost 9K in marketing fees to Ray White, and it was pretty much all for nothing, For three months, I struggled to get updates, often needing to chase George multiple times a week with no response. My wife's agent provided proactive updates after every inspection, detailing attendees and interest. George, in contrast, sometimes skipped inspections without informing me. Another issue was the power outage, which the Ray White team took over two weeks to resolve, citing difficulty contacting the building manager. I resolved it with one call in an hour. George became completely unresponsive in the final weeks, handing me over to his colleague. This isn't just about unmet expectations; George lacked basic professionalism. His poor responsiveness really didn't ease my worries on a tough journey and it's wasn't justified regardless of his workload. Don't be swayed by lower commissions; choose an agent who will actively work for you, especially when the market is challenging.
