Grahame O’Brien was born in Yass, NSW and moved to Canberra when he was only 10 years old. He attended Marist College in Pearce until year 10, then Stirling College for years 11 and 12. After graduating in 1980, Grahame worked with the ANZ Bank for seven years.
Grahame joined the Independent Property Group in 1987. He attributes his consistently high results to a well earned reputation for integrity and superior service. He has a simple but highly effective philosophy; “If you look after your clients, they’ll come back to you.” After 12 years with Independent, Grahame moved to Sydney in 1999 working in Sydney’s fast-moving Eastern Suburbs real estate market where he gained valuable experience in competitive property marketing. He returned to Canberra and Independent in 2002.
When Independent Property Group opened its new Dickson office in 2003, Grahame took on the familiar role of Sales Manager. Grahame’s work ethic and experience then earned him a promotion to Director. His experience and expertise has proved invaluable to the enthusiastic sales team that works with him.
Grahame regularly wins awards for his outstanding results and he has also been awarded Independent Property Group’s ‘Role Model of the Year’ 3 times. This award recognizes ethical standards and exceptional customer service. It is considered one of the highest accolades a true real estate professional can achieve. While he is very passionate about real estate, Grahame understands that ‘balance in life’ is essential. He loves the outdoors and has travelled extensively throughout Australia and numerous other countries.
