Good experience overall in home purchase

Haresh was quite friendly when we could get hold of him. He seemed busy so he didn’t always get back to us when he said he would. Haresh was OK to deal with. Nice as a person but several things still are outstanding at our property. In an email we very clearly asked for the desk in the study to be taken away. That was still there when we moved in. We also asked if Haresh could get the owner to show us how to use the large custom made fish tank in the wall. We would have liked it ready for when we moved in. We also don’t know how to use the alarm system properly. There is an error on it all the time. Also we don’t know how to use the aircon system properly, which is also customer made. It’s either too hot or too cold. Haresh said he would get the previous owner to contact us to show us how to use the C-bus system. Apparently we brought a lap top round the father of the previous owner would show us. But we’re still waiting and don’t know how to use the C-bus system. Several lights in the house haven’t been connected or we don’t know how they connect via the electronic system. It would be nice if the previous owner showed us but Haresh went on holiday and the previous owner hasn’t got in touch with us yet. Its been 3 weeks now after we settled.

Generally we were happy with the agent, though there were some issues during the process. Negotiations between the buyer and agent were sometimes frustrating and stressful. Having the buyer question us directly to improve the property when there was nothing highlighted in the building report was not appropriate. From our point of view there was a conflict of interest between the buyer and agent, given that the buyer wanted to use the agent to rent out the property.

We were introduced to Haresh through a friend, in the context of finding a property. We had a specific budget and a limited one at that. Haresh helped us find a suitable property and was fair during the negotiations, trying to get the best deals for both the parties involved. He was prompt in returning our calls, getting back to us with clarifications and also in patiently walking us through the process. We highly recommend Haresh when you are looking to buy a property.
