Our transaction had several complications as it played out and Helen helped ensure both the sellers and ourselves were kept informed of new developments as fast as possible, and she took the initiative to contact our representatives and other relevant parties to be kept abreast of everything going on. It was especially impressive considering it happened over the Christmas holidays and nobodies schedules lined up. We were disappointed in the lack of communication. Also referring her tasks to our mortgage broker was not very good either. When doing final inspection were we told it was not the best time she had to go quickly for dinner so could we hurry!

Helen is an experienced campaigner and this was clear in my dealings with Helen as a buyer. Helen was representing the seller and as she was employed by them obviously their interests were her main priority. However, I got the impression Helen was aware that to make successful sales the agent needs to be aware of the interests/desires/restrictions of both parties. The best solution is to have both the buyer and seller happy with the outcome (win/win solutions are the ideal in most facets of life). This is obviously easy said, but hard to achieve. In my particular case I think Helen was able to achieve this... where both myself as the buyer, and I think the seller, ended up making concessions in order to achieve an outcome that we were both satisfied with. An ability to have both the seller and buyer happy with the outcome means that Helen is good at her job in my opinion. i got the impression that Helen has survived (and thrived) in the real estate industry for many years so it isn't very surprising that she is good at what she does. As the buyer Helen provided an actual good quality bottle of champagne as a 'congratulations'. This was a nice touch. I had dealings with a different agent when selling a property of my own who gave me cheap crap as a congratulations. The nice champagne was a small thing, but a good example of Helen's level of professionalism, which in my opinion is well above the average from what I observed from interactions with quite a number of agents over a period of about 8 months as I was selling one place and hunting for the new place I ended up buying (via Helen as the selling agent).

Helen is the best agent I know. She sold us our first home back in 2003 and we were so impressed with her commitment and service I always use Helen to buy and sell houses even now and more importantly since I have moved interstate. Helen managed to sell my property very quickly at the right price considering the market and went over and above her requirements as an agent. She sold the property which is further out than her normal range and took care of my property through a storm. She even cleared up glass and water when the storm hit hard knowing that I was unable to. Nothing is a problem for Helen she takes everything in her stride and thus shows how experienced and knowledgable she is as a senior agent.
