Henry was a great agent to deal with/buy through. He was friendly without any of the the pushy sales-speak. He was knowledgeable about what was happening in the area and always quick to follow up on everything. Whilst obviously acting in the best interests of the vendors, he also made us feel that he was working as much as he could for our benefit as well. When it came to negotiation on price, there wasn't any silly games being played so we always felt we knew exactly where we stood.
Henry was very professional yet he makes you feel comfortable enough to ask plenty of questions. Henry along with the upside team kept us up to date during the entire process. The upside portal also was a great tool to keep us up to date with the progress of campaign I have purchased and sold a few properties through the traditional way which was a headache because they palm your ideas off and are hard to contact. Henry was always contactable and if he wasn’t he would always call you back. I would highly recommend Henry. My kids loved him and they will be disappointed when they no longer see him.
We chose Henry Chan and Upside Realty to sell two of our investment properties (Westmead, Hornsby). I’ve transacted numerous properties NSW and Victoria with numerous agencies, and I wouldn’t describe Upside Realty as a full-service agency. We had multiple issues when dealing with Henry Chan and Upside: - Henry experienced significant delays with getting photographs and organising copywriting - copywriting was of very poor quality - after signing up, we were told during the middle of our campaign that Henry was going overseas on holiday – thus our properties were marketed by sales associates we’d never met and who had no idea of the local property market. - numerous communication issues - ineffective marketing strategy, offers made then mysteriously evaporating, failure by Upside to follow-up prospective buyers - only real strategy Upside had was to push down asking price to generate interest. We sold Hornsby property after significant price reductions for $40,000 below market value. Henry was unable to sell the Westmead property, so we withdrew this and put it back for rent with another agency. I hate writing negative reviews. I hope our experience isn’t typical for Upside clients. I couldn't in good faith recommend Upside. We’ve recently listed some of our other investment properties and we’ve selected a proper full-service agency. Several friends have asked me about my Upside experience and regrettably my advice is to avoid them. With traditional full-service agency there’s higher commission but it comes with better service, better communication, better marketing and ultimately better results.

Good honest man who will go a long way in this industry. We got off to a bad start when the first agent left the company. Things improved when Henry came on the scene. He is easy to talk with and listens when you speak to him. A BIG THANK YOU TO HENRY.
