We bought our house in Healesville through Mr Vine at a time when demand was high and housing stock was very low. Over a six month period of 20 or so inspections, only 2 properties met our needs. We missed out on the first one as we we not quite ready to buy then. Based on a friend’s experience and our own assessment, we selected Mr Vine as an agent whom we could trust & rely on to help us find a suitable house to buy. We also kept in touch with other local agents to track the Healesville market overall. To Mr Vine, we spelled out in detail what we were looking for in a house purchase - price, location, amenities, etc. We found in Mr Vine a good listener & communicator, who warned us that while 1 or 2 such properties were in the pipeline, they may not come onto the market for weeks or even months. We visited Healesville weekly going to open house inspections & keeping in touch with local agents especially including Mr Vine. It was some 5 weeks before he was able to confirm a suitable property was about to come onto the market. In 2 inspections we realised It was indeed very satisfactory to us, & Mr Vine helped gain 2 further private accesses to the property for pest & building inspections, & we were able to meet & talk to the owners. Initially we did not have adequate access to our own funds to fully pay the deposit, but we are most grateful to Mr Vines helping us negotiate on a basis of a 5% deposit. This saved having to access bank bridging finance. As importantly, Mr Vines also facilitated a settlement date corresponding to the settlement date set for the sale of our house in St. Andrews. In summary, Mr Vine demonstrated great listening & communication skills in understanding & helping us achieve our property & finance needs. He gained our trust in his demonstration of his integrity throughout the four months we were looking for & buying a very suitable house that he found and negotiated in for us & for the sellers Mr Vine is truly a top agent!!
