We feel that Jacqui understood our position and worked hard to achieve a better than expected sale price for us in only 4 days. She used her contact channels to great effect to seek out only those buyers who met her criteria of likely purchasers. Naturally we are delighted with the result. Everything seemed to be done at a pace we could hardly keep up with. The only area where we felt out of place in the process was that on the friday evening we had agreed to accept the best offer of $779,000 made by the eventual purchasers. A further offer was made later on that day to Jacqui by another prospective purchaser who made an offer of $800,000. When she arrived on Saturday morning with 2 contracts to consider, we weren't really given sufficient time to consider all the implications as we didn't understand that offers could be accepted after we had agreed verbally to accept the initial offer, and as a gesture of good faith in honoring our commitment, we accepted the lower offer which, incidentally was increased by the purchasers by $6,000 as they thought they had to do whatever they had to to secure the property in the face of the last minute offer. We feel that while we probably would not have made a different decision than we did, we were not given sufficient time or information to consider all our options privately and feel that it would have put Jacqui in a potentially embarrassing position with the original purchasers if we had chosen the higher offer. As in all business dealings, we have to work together to achieve the desired outcomes and overall we consider that it was a pleasure to have Jacqui on board to handle the sale of our most prized possession.
