Being first home buyers, Janice made the process a breeze and was able to answer the numerous questions we had. We felt looked after throughout the whole process and would be more than happy to work with Janice again.

From the initial email on 20/12 (the reply to which got lost in the spam filter) to my subsequent phone call to (an away) Janice wondering why I hadn't heard anything I found Janice very easy to talk to and we setup a viewing appointment for the first day John Kerr was open after the Christmas/New Year's break on 05/01 . I arrived early and Janice was happy to accommodate this on the day - then at short notice was also prepared to show me through a second property in the same area as well. After considering my options overnight I made an email offer the next day which Janice passed on to the solicitor selling the estate and a day later the offer was accepted. John Kerr Real Estate then prepared the contract for signature and by the following week the property was under contract. Janice facilitated access to the Building/Pest Inspector which showed only one minor defect (loose bathroom vanity laminate) and then the contract was unconditional. Once the Section 27 for my already sold property came through the 10% deposit was transferred to the John Kerr Real Estate account with settlement set for 10 February. With Final Inspection arranged with Janice for the 6th February I found the whole process relatively painless from the initial inspection through to the upcoming final inspection. Janice in particular and John Kerr Real Estate in general made the whole process of buying a house so easy. Janice was knowledgeable of the area and anything I wasn't sure of she was happy to explain. The hardest thing about the whole process was waiting to hear back from the vendor (solicitor) as they were at that stage still on leave. But Janice kept me in the loop during that period until they accepted the offer. Overall Janice did a fantastic job and helped make buying a house a much easier process than I'd expected.

As a seller, I don’t believe that our needs were thought of as much as the buyers… I believe a few real estates need to realise that they are working for the seller, and not the buyer… I believe we could have gotten a higher price for this property… I changed my initial review, as I was advised by someone that if I had others wanting to see the property, I should have had the opportunity to wait and have them go through first, and then see what they wanted to do before the real estate came to us with an offer… It’s sad but that’s the way it was in our experience… I must add though, that she was quick to answer any calls, and did go above and beyond to contact us back if she missed our call… so it’s not all bad. She was pretty good with different property.
