Highly recommended.
The process of selling our house started exactly five weeks before our house was actually put on the market. It began with a meeting with Jeremy where we asked him to pinpoint exactly what needed to be done in order to maximise our selling price. One long to do list later and we were on our way.
A lot of the jobs that needed to be completed didn’t come as a shock to us, as we had always known our house required work, however having Jeremy involved even at that early stage, kept us accountable and motivated to get the jobs done.
The biggest impact that came from the house preparation, and the most time consuming one, was the cleaning and tidying. Not a messy person by nature, I was floored at how much there was to do to get the house ready – walls and skirting’s were wiped down, deck was hosed off, windows cleaned and carpets were steam cleaned. Jeremy gave us great advice in the beginning – take a walk through the house, be objective and imagine that you are a prospective buyer looking at the house for the first time. Doing this will bring the minor flaws to the forefront, even if you’ve never considered them an issue before.
Jeremy kept in regular contact through the preparation for sale and once the house was on the market, Jeremy called us daily to keep us updated on the sale progress and was always upfront as to where we were at. Straight after our first and second inspection, Jeremy provided feedback as to how many groups had come through, who had shown interest, how many Section 32’s were provided etc. This being our first home, the whole process was at times daunting and we are grateful to Jeremy for guiding us through.
The end result makes all the hard work (and late nights) worth it. Selling at over $50,000 over the listed price, well above what we ever thought we would achieve, was a surreal experience. If I had my time over again, there isn’t anything I would do differently. Knowing we did everything possible to get the best possible outcome.
