I think that both Jesse and I learned a few things from this purchase. For me, it was the experience I had with the bank who had given me a pre-approval for my loan and then changed the rules of purchase. Can they do that? Yes, they can. For Jesse, I'm sure he will remember that when a purchase is being done through a Super Fund, you don't put the client's name on the purchase contract but the name of the super fund. I should have known, so I certainly don't blame him in any way. The great thing is, despite the various obstacles we both had in this transaction, Jesse was very professional throughout the whole process. Always ready to stay back and help. Having bought a unit in Sydney 6 years ago, we met and dealt with many agents. This process was extremely stressful and unpleasant, and we felt like we were just an email address on a list at each open house. I was left cynical about Sydney estate agents. I truly believed that Sydney units sold themselves as not one agent bothered to take the time to talk to us about their listings, nor seem to have the vendors best interests at heart. When it came time to sell our unit, we met with Jesse and looked no further. He fits none of the stereotypes for Sydney agents. He’s warm, relaxed and engaging. He couldn’t have been more helpful. After giving some small renovating advice to improve our result, he even offered to help me do the painting on his day off. He genuinely cares about getting the best result for the vendor. I believe this is a very rare trait in agents. Getting an extra $10,000 for our sale makes no difference to his commission, but he pushed and pushed to achieve it for us. His communication through the whole process was faultless. We were nervous sellers, and he did everything in his power to calm us down and trust his advice. I couldn’t recommend Jesse enough to anyone considering selling. You wont find a better agent!!
