A total disaster!

We regretfully chose Joanne over another agent. After a long campaign we sold to a buyer actually sourced by the other agent we did not go with. Joanne negotiated a much lower price than he had verbally offered with the other agent. At the start of our contract with Joanne, her approach to communication was extremely amicable and friendly, stating to contact her at anytime, even whilst she was on holiday etc. Unfortunately, post sale her availability to discuss our dissatisfaction and general demeanor changed significantly and we were sidelined at being told 'she should have charged us more!'

As discussed on the phone last week, myself and my team are very disappointed that you feel this way. At all times we acted ethically and endeavoured to obtain as much information as possible from all buyers to qualify their interest and personal circumstances. I was not aware that the buyer the other agency took through when we were negotiating with them as they did not disclose this information to me- a copy of a written offer was given and emailed to you the week prior to you accepting the offer so you had the all the information you needed to make any further clarifications with the other agency should you felt it necessary. I asked the question of the buyer “had you seen this property previously?” and they were not forthcoming with any information. The other agency also have an obligation to have disclosed the correct information to you or us to assist in the process however this was not done. As you are both also aware, I called the other agency and asked if they knew him? They stated they did not and that their potential buyer had purchased already. I also agreed to waiver the exclusive auction agreement we had in place, to allow you to seek out other estate agencies to provide you with the opportunity for them to sell the property. During this time no other agency was able to obtain a written offer. Even if an offer is not at an acceptable level, all agents should get any genuine interest in writing and submit for your consideration. The final offer and result was achieved after negotiating with the buyer for over 1 week and this time also allowed you both to give the offer serious consideration. At no point were you forced into accepting the offer I submitted for your consideration. The offer which was achieved is a reflection of the market conditions. My team and I pride ourselves on our integrity and service to our clients and once again we are confident that we have achieved the best possible outcome.
