We interviewed quite a few agents to sell out property and all of them were more focused on managing our expectation of the sale price than selling our home. We were told things like "nothing had sold in this price range in over 8 years, the market is slow, you have to go to auction, your buyer will need to be a high roller from Sydney, average selling time is over 6-12 moths, and there was a general lack of enthusiasm for our home.... Enter Jodie Curran. Jodie's first comment when walking in to our home was WOW. Whether she meant it or not, Jodie shared the same genuine enthusiasm for our home as us and the same enthusiasm we would hope our potential buyers would be exposed to during our open homes. Throughout the process we found Jodie's communication to be fantastic and her knowledge of our market and competition was on point every time. This knowledge is very important as buyers will always find objections based on comparisons with other properties and unless your agent knows how to defuse these then value can be lost in the eyes of the buyer. Ironically our buyer was a local and previous customer of Jodie's so this goes to show that listing with the agent that dominates the market and has the largest marketable database does have it's benefits... We sold in under 2 months with no auction. Our contract negotiation with our seller was messy but nothing was a problem for Jodie. Throughout the time of my Property on the Market Jodie was such a delight to deal with, always communicating with me and coming up with new stratagies to sell the House. Possibly my Home was not the easiest to sell being 1 less bedroom than the other Houses listed and slightly different color however she strived to find the buyer who fell in love with it and was a very happy ending all round. Well where do I begin to rate Jodie? I don't think there are enough stars to begin with on your rating qualities. I was originally going to go with 2 agents to market my house and I had Jodie come in first and I was upfront with her and what I had planned. She came first to talk to me and said that would be alright. She didn't try to change my mind which I found fantastic. We talked about price and we both agreed what my house was worth. Que the second agent from Coolum Beach. Negative as to why I would want an out of town agent to market my property. Jodie is in the next little suburb along??? Hardly out of town. Questioning why I wanted 2 agents and I would be paying for 2 lots of marketing fees and then to price came up. I asked him said did he think my house is worth!!! He said $550,000 he would market it at!!!! Well local agent....I got $115,000 more than you said you would list it at!!! Negotiation skills, well Jodie is amazing. She got our house listed at $669,000 and sold at $665,000. Seriously the best negotiator I have ever seen. She didn't stress me out with the negotiations. She just told me what she got for us to consider. Her communication skills are brilliant. I know she is super busy, I have seen her in action. She always gets back to you. Obviously I am not her only client and she is very busy with other people also. Overall satisfaction is not even on a scale. I have sold 6 times and she wins hands down. I am actually looking forward to her getting her fee for selling our house. She deserves it!!!!! I have never in my life met an agent like her with her positive attitude, down to earth, not full of herself, confident and if you want the truth about your house, ask her. She will tell you what you need to do to sell your house. If you really want to sell your house and it not be a chore and a horrible experience, hire Jodie. Don't even bother looking elsewhere.
This is the 12th time we've bought and sold in the last 20 years, and the 6th transaction we've done in Peregian Springs within the last 10 years. Without doubt, Jodie is the most honest and professional agent we have encountered in all this time.
