We met Joel Foong in the foyer of The Peak (2 Quay Street, Haymarket) when we went to visit an apartment in that building on 2 July 2022. We were interested in it because it was quite large for a two bedroom unit and had a pleasant outlook. A couple of weeks later, we visited again and, after that, Joel kept in touch every few days. Eventually, he informed us that the vendor had agreed to a sale price and the first buyer who exchanged a contract would be successful. Joel is a very personable young man and we would have no hesitation in recommending his agency, Goodvest Realty International, to either vendors or purchasers. We believe he is very ethical and has a strict personal code of behaviour, which is lovely to find in the real estate industry. Perhaps because of this, Joel seems to have good relations with other agents who sell in the Sydney CBD, some of whom also helped us with advice about our purchase and the proposed sale of our current home.
Joel was very knowledgeable on how the market was reacting to economic factors like interest rate changes that were very much quicker than most people had anticipated. Whilst the sentiment was rapidly turning, Joel was still able to get buyers interested and in the end, an acceptable offer was made. Subsequently the service from exchange to settlement was good and enabled the deal to be satisfactorily concluded for both parties.
It was very easy to deal with Joel for any questions we had as he was very responsive with any questions we might have for the sale of the property. There wasn't any suprise or things that happened not within my expectations and everything happened smoothly for the sale.
