One of the things that really appealed to me about Joel is that he is not "slick". He made me feel very comfortable with his price assessments so there were no outrageous expectations. His confidence and relaxed style made me a whole lot less anxious than I otherwise would have been. He helped me determine my reserve price which I privately thought was a little optimistic however Joel believed it was achievable. I thought the advertising campaign was outstanding. In fact when I viewed the website ad I had to remind myself why I was selling the unit it looked so good. Catarina had made a great job of organizing the furniture fit out. I received regular website statistics on how the advertising campaign was performing....better than average, which was encouraging. I should point out that while all of this was going on I was living in New Zealand and so I was getting regular international phone calls and emails from both Joel and Catarina getting updates on progress. Once the reserve price had been agreed Joel went looking for every last cent that was out there. He finally got an offer that we could settle on prior to auction. In my opinion it was way above the reserve and I was very pleased, (ecstatic may be a more accurate term),and relieved that I was not going to have the stress and uncertainty of an auction. While Joel was doing the leg work Catarina was keeping me informed every step of the way and dealing with the paper war. I got the impression she was a very informed friend who seemed to be in close proximity, not separated by the Tasman Sea. I am so grateful to the Gary Peer team for, what I considered, a magnificent result. Hughenden wasn't the first unit Gary Peer has sold for me....and it won't be the last. Thanks again.
