My wife and I recently purchased our future family home remotely, fully aware of the extra challenges involved. Unfortunately, our initial enquiries went unanswered until another member of the agency stepped in and ensured someone contacted us. Without that intervention, we may have missed the opportunity to purchase the property. Once Joel became our main point of contact, he was very helpful in arranging access to the property and following up on outstanding matters. The principal agent appeared to have little involvement in our purchase despite being the primary face of the marketing campaign, so most of our interactions were with Joel. The only exception was when we raised some difficult questions regarding the transaction, at which point the principal agent became involved. My only criticism is that communication regularly stopped after 3 pm on Fridays, often requiring me to chase updates on Monday. Given the nature of real estate, some weekend communication during critical stages of the purchase would have been appreciated. Joel was approachable, genuinely helpful, and came across as a really nice person. More consistent communication would have made the experience significantly better, although I don't believe that was entirely within Joel's control. Overall, we would rate Joel's service positively. Our only advice would be to continue learning from mentors who demonstrate genuine care for both buyers and sellers. Building that level of service and communication will go a long way towards developing lasting relationships and earning a strong reputation in the industry.
