We recently brought a new home from John and when it was time to sell we had no hesitation in asking John to help us in the sale. His communication was first e class. He was either readily available or would return calls very efficiently. His professionalism is enhanced by an ability to sell without using annoying hardcore selling tactics.

Blatantly lied about other offers during the negotiation which became apparent when we won the bid. John didn't ensure that the house was ready for handover at time of settlement. I suggested that the sellers may need some assistance based on how the house was presented during the Open Inspection. He agreed to contact the sellers the week before to see how their move and vacate clean was going but I'm not sure if this actually happened. We arrived at the time of settlement and the house still had people in it. A skip bin was in the middle of the driveway and the curb was lined with hard rubbish. We called John and he was on personal leave so we called the other agents from Ouwens Casserly Willunga and they didn't answer (ever). We reached the admin person at the office who then started making urgent calls to the sellers and the seller's Conveyancer. It took 4 hours for the house to be vacated and the skip bin removed but we have terrible photos of the way the house was left. Piles of dog poo in the yard. Trash all over the grass and along the fence, broken council bins and missing lids and rotting food in the bottom of them (had been sitting there much longer than a week or two). We were told that the carpets would be steam cleaned and they weren't. Appliances were filthy (dishwasher / oven), toilets weren't even clean. Furniture was left but was not considered a fixture of the house so we had to deal with getting rid of it. All of this was reported to John and there was little assistance from his end. I never met him in person as he wasn't even at the open inspection. We only dealt with him over the phone and there was no professional nature in handing over the keys to a property that was not ready for handover. A very disappointing beginning for our family.
John was recommended to us for his market knowledge in selling rural properties. The marketing was very professional and the photos and video were first class. John kept us informed the whole way and made the selling process for us easy and stress free. We would certainaly recommend him to anyone wanting the same experience as we have had.

The Willunga OC team was terrific to deal with nothing was too much trouble. However as a property investment buyer my experience was greatly tarnished when it came to dealing with one of the Lonsdale OC property management team members. This person was pressuring in her approach and inflexible in her communications with me from day one. This negative interaction has prompted me to manage the property myself or go with an independent real estate property manager. Don't recommend other investment buyers deal with Lonsdale OC if they are treated the way I was. Extremely disappointed.
