Their initial estimation of the asking price was somewhat above my expectation but there were extenuating circumstances which prevailed to reduce the attractiveness of the property; continual rain made the access difficult and was almost certainly a negative to some of the “lookers”. However, the team from Whale brought a number of prospective buyers to the property and were always highly enthusiastic and helpful, and kept me informed every step of the way. When the sale was finally concluded they were very helpful both to me and to the buyer. I thank the team from Whale for all their help and advice and their successful efforts in selling my property in my absence overseas.
John clearly has lots of expertise and knowledge and put us in touch with the right local people to assist us with our decision to buy as the property we were inspecting needed a great deal of work and we had come from interstate. No pressure, just great help and support with the purchase.
John advised on sale price and timing during the year before we decided to sell. He negotiated an excellent price that exceeded our expectations in a falling market and with a tenant still in possession at time of exchange. Tenant failed to vacate and Whale Coast obtained an order for possession from Tribunal. Property was left in poor state and John and team rectified all issues with urgency so that settlement was achieved within contract deadlines. Excellent outcome in difficult circumstances.

Our house was sold during a difficult period where the market was down-turning following a spike. John and his dedicated team worked hard and communicated with us all the way. It is a complex industry where a sales team has to keep ahead of the market and understand it thoroughly. They are dealing with clients who have come to them with one of, if not their largest, asset. That is a responsibility that we felt Whale understood. We were well-informed and guided throughout the process. The house was marketed and presented strongly with professional videos and photos. Selling a family home can have certain anxieties thrown into the mix and Whale were amazingly accommodating while remaining focused on what was to be achieved.
