We listed our house for sale with John without a clear idea of our home’s value, given the current real estate market and some nuanced qualities intrinsic to the home that made it a unique buying opportunity. We launched with an “Expressions of Interest” campaign which attracted potential buyers and gave us a more concrete valuation of the home. From there, John fielded enquiries and offers until we received an offer that was fair. He negotiated on our behalf with the potential buyer to increase their offer to an amount that we deemed satisfactory. When another house comparable to our sold for a lot more, we thought the offer may have been low and felt a bit disgruntled. We addressed our concerns with John, and he did his due diligence on the sale of that property and all the reasons why it sold for so much more than the reserve, and determined quite clearly that the offer for our property was a good one. Rather than just talk us into an offer, John really did his homework to make sure we got the best possible price, and we felt satisfied that we did.
