What are your expectations from a real estate agent?.. To be honest, we just wanted to sell our property quickly with a reasonable price and for a first time seller we did not know who you should be going with as our agent. For sure we really did not want to make a ‘big mistake’ and regret it later. So we made a few appointments with agents from different real estate groups at the property. We showed around the property to each agent and discussed about selling strategies, plan, timeframe, the best achievable value, commission etc. And we thought we had enough of seeing agents and John was the last one we met and he did not disappoint us. Even before his actual selling works started literally, he helped us making all the arrangements with painter and interior stylist for furniture delivery before the photo shoot session for ads. He called us on regular basis to give the updates right after finishing each open house and also provided activity reports and property campaign reports every week. He also brought other buyers/investors from nearby suburbs to show the property in between open houses and gave us updates on the progress. He also actively sent us some market updates and information of similar properties sold in the area so that we could make right judgement and appropriate decisions when we got suitable offers. Believe it or not, even in this most challenging market conditions, he brought more than 50 buyers to our property during the 6 week campaign and we believe he could be bringing more if it had not been sold.
