Forty years ago I undertook courses through the NSW REI (including Valuers). How things have changed in the intervening years. Previous experiences as a vendor and a purchaser have not been satisfactory. My most recent experience as a purchaser in what amounted to a 'blind auction' was extremely unsatisfactory and left me debilitated and disillusioned with this marketing technique used by some agents in urban areas. The main beneficiaries seem to be the RE Agents (inflated commissions) and State Governments (Stamp Duties). As a vendor, I was pleased that John Simon's OPENHOMESONLINE did not use this technique.
