We have recently purchased a property through Karen Hoswell of JKL Real Estate in Forster, NSW. Karen's knowledge of the Forster area is immense, and the Agency had a large variety of properties that met our brief. Her knowledge of each property, its proximity to various essential services such as shopping centres, medical centres etc, and a tour of what features were available nearby made the choice of the right property for us so much easier. Karen always replied promptly to any of our questions and arranged second viewings as requested. Karen also provided details of other local businesses that were available to arrange building/pest inspections and removalist services. Karen's pleasant, friendly and helpful nature made the entire experience of purchasing our new property very enjoyable. I can highly recommend Karen and the staff of JKL Real Estate in Forster.

Although it was below my expectation the market followed the dip in the Sydney market. Karen was very committed in obtaining me the best possible sale price.

We recently purchased a unit through Karen at JKL in Forster. I have noticed that the vendor has written a very inflammatory review of the agent from their side and while some areas I cannot comment there are some glaring errors in the vendors review. We had been waiting for a unit to come up for sale in this building for 2 years. It was 100% an emotional purchase and we paid more for the unit than it was realistically worth. This was proven with the bank valuation which came in $65k less than what we paid. Therefore any claim of being "ripped off" is not reasonable. We also would not have paid anywhere near the numbers this vendor is claiming it was worth and neither would any reasonable person. What the vendor didn't explain was that they actually made ours and the agents life difficult by never responding to communication doing negotiations and then failed to settle on the agreed date - he was 8 days late as the bank wouldn't release the property. The agent managed all this exceptionally well and certainly didn't deserve the unprofessional "spray" given on this site.

We used Karen to sell our unit in Ebbtide, top floor middle unit, every room with spectacular ocean views. Karen expected us to get $720,000 for it, I argued it was worth much much more but Karen wouldn't let me list it over $750,000. I finally relented, and before it goes on the market Karen had sold it. I said that was nonsense and put the price up to $800,000 and pointed out to Karen there is no other unit is a similar position between Sydney and Cairns that is not selling for at least a million dollars. Karen kept saying Forster is different. Anyway the unit sold for $815,000, but I have no doubt it should have been list at $950,000 or more, and Karen should have listened to me and tried to understand my reasoning. I have left it weeks before posting this hoping I could find something nice to say, but all I can say is I have been ripped off.

KAREN HAS MANAGED MY COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FOR THE LAST 22 YEARS. THE RENT WAS ALWAYS ON TIME. THE TENANTS WERE ALWAYS GOOD. IT WAS A NO BRAINER THAT SHE WOULD BE THE SELLING AGENT. THE SALE WAS MADE TO AN EXISTING TENANT WHO WAS NOT EVEN IN THE MARKET FOR THE PROPERTY. THAT'S GOOD SALESMANSHIP ............
