Karen began her passion for real estate at the age of 25 when she embarked on renovating a removal home from the Sunshine Coast. Total renovation meant gutting the entire house & redoing. From the outside through to the inside. Karen quickly learnt to paint, tile, sand floors, pave outdoor areas & install bathrooms & kitchens. The 2nd and 3rd removal home properties were picked from Caloundra and Maroochydore and followed within a two year period. Karen then engaged a builder and 3 brand new homes were built in the preceding 3 years. By this time Karen had experienced 11 of her own transactions of being both the buyer and the seller and had owned 6 of her own properties, Karen had caught the 'real estate bug'. She then approached the agent that she had mostly dealt with, the principal of one of Maryboroughs leading agencies and asked for a sales position. Karen worked within Harcourts for 3 1/2 years and achieved awards each quarter through her hard efforts and an understanding first hand of what it was like to be both the 'buyer' and the 'seller'. She completed a certificate IV in real estate. Karen then decided to take the leap to the Remax Maryborough office while still working with her growing number of dedicated clients and completing her full real estate licence.
2010 was a brave and lustrous year for Karen when she opened her own real estate agency 'First National Maryborough'. Five years on, and there is hardly a street in Maryborough or surrounds that Karen hasn't proudly marketed and sold a home in.
Karen prides herself in always having an understanding of her clients wants and needs and her enthusiasm towards meeting those goals.
