Karin is a people person with a passion for getting the best price possible. Karin exceeded our expectations and was a pleasure to work with. The best sales experience we have ever had and it wasn’t just about the end result.
Don't expect anything more than the typical real estate agent approach from Karin. We sold our home in the Byron Shire and Karin was unable to access sold prices for similar local properties, but I suspect she didn't really try. We made it clear that we wanted privacy and we didn't want to be rushed - I even made it known that I was aware of the evidence that agents' own properties remain on the market longer and achieve a higher price compared to customers, but once the house was listed, it was just pressure from Karin. We asked for the sold price to not be listed online; it was. We asked for it to be removed; it wasn't. Six months and several requests later, the price was still there. When Karin blamed someone in the office and said words to the effect of 'It's not just me trying to make myself look good by 'accidentally' leaving the price up', I should have known that's exactly what it was. When it took me 1 phone call to the head office and the price was gone by the end of the day, that confirms that that is exactly what it was. We made a mathematical and rational decision about the price we would accept, and actively chose to not engage in games of 'what if' with ourselves, but when Karin's responsiveness (to yet another request to have the price taken down) has disappeared completely once the commission was paid, it's easy to have regrets. I wasn't going to write a review until I checked again and saw the price was still there. Realistically, in this market, the house sold itself. We paid a premium for a level of service that we didn't receive, and now I resent the way Karin used our home to promote herself and Kollosche's expansion into Byron.
Working with Karin was easy. She calls it as she sees it: no hype, empty promises, no false expectations. Karin has a firm grip on what is happening in the market. Great communications, I always felt in the picture at every step along the way. She is result driven and a fantastic negotiator. I can recommend Karin 100%!
