Having experienced 3 severely cold winters in Bridgetown, I decided to re-locate somewhere closer to good facilities; medical, vet care, shops, closer to the coast without being in the thick of it. With a temp of 1C warmer than my previous town, Donnybrook ticked the bill. The home is an Italian style villa, built by the Gino De Coppi, 43 years ago. In fact I contacted the builder and invited Gino, his wife Heidi and Kate, to have a morning coffee with me. Gino, fit as a fiddle at 80 plus, even suggested to me he could help with some renovations!! Those Italians are sturdy stock and build homes to last. As I am now retired and live alone with a cat ... the home is very suitable and with it's established gardens is perfect so that I can potter about if ... I'm not writing on my computer. The Tuscan Sun experience comes about from the home being flooded with morning and afternoon light. The villa featured in the movie is called 'Bramasole' which means to seek the sun. But without the support of Kate; all of the above would not have become a possibility. Patiently Kate waited for my home which had an offer from a business corporation to become firm. Which it did, and I am delighted with my new abode. Kate communicated, negotiated, had a keen knowledge of the local market, and her professional attitude made all the difference to the conjunct sale which may have been flawed. Kate provided a realistic opinion with regard to our property and communicated effectively aspects that provided the best potential for sale (eg professional photography, repairs) and introduced the property to a wide network of interested parties. The consequential sale (which was almost immediate) allowed other activities to be pursued aside from maintaining the property for inspection.
