Let me start by saying I'm not sure how much of our negative experience was the fault of Kate or the owners of the house, but we were getting mixed messages. We really didn't appreciate after having agreed on a price, discovering the house was still on the market and other people were looking through. And then we were not happy with how the owners decided, after agreeing on a price, that they felt their home was worth more and bumped the price up further. Then there was the list of things Kate said which didn't match reality. Like how the owners could be out in two weeks (when in reality they wanted a longer settlement), and how the chooks were staying (the owners took them), and leaving behind the trampoline (because the owners thought our kids might like it- it was BROKEN and had to go to the tip- nice gift!). Whilst Kate was friendly to deal with, the whole process was not something we'd like to repeat. We require more honesty and transparency with a house sale.

We found Kate to be very personable and professional. However, despite assurances from the outset that our very marketable property would invite many offers, that she would then take upwards, this did not eventuate. We feel that her marketing strategies had little effect on the end result and that our buyers were actually annoyed with us. A stressful and unpleasant conclusion.
