We recently purchased a home in the lower mountains through Kate Spence at One Agency. We had been in contact with Kate a number of times in the months prior in our search for a home. Kate was always quick to respond to all of our enquiries (no matter the time or day), and over that time, made the effort to keep us up to date on homes of interest and also send us individual homes relevant to our wants and needs and not just every house on the market in our price range (as other agents had been sending us homes way over our budget, or completely unsuitable to what we were looking for). For the home we ended up purchasing, we were away the weekend of the first home open, but we were very keen to see the home when we returned on the Monday. Originally the vendors wanted to keep to the open home, but Kate was able to negotiate to have us look at the home when we returned on the Monday afternoon at short notice. We were able to put in an offer that night, (after only a few days on the market), and within 24 hours had agreed on a counter-offer that we were extremely happy with. A win-win for both the Vendor and for ourselves. Kate always appeared to be honest with us and didn't try to push the sale of the multiple homes we inspected with her. At no point did we feel like Kate was playing any 'sales games' with us or trying to push us to spend above what we were willing to pay for a home, or above a reasonable counter-offer.
