Reassuring guidance through an intimidating process.

When we started the process of finding an agent we wanted someone who we felt we connected with, and who could give us guidance about what to expect through the process. We felt that we got that with Kathy. She understood what we saw as the positives of the house, but she also understood the market and what we needed to do to broaden the appeal to a range of buyers. When Kathy advised we should do things we simply followed her advice and did them and I believe they paid off. We sold in a lower market than it had been 6 months or a year before so we needed someone who could help us adjust our expectations while also conveying that she really would work to get us the right price. We adjusted the approach along the way, opting to cancel a planned auction to negotiate directly with the most interested buyer. Again, we needed the reassurance of someone who knew the market and the process to feel comfortable it was the right approach. Ultimately we sold for what we believe is the best the market would offer and we sold more quickly than other houses in our suburb have done recently.
