We approached Williams Machin for an appraisal of 13 Sheldon Crescent for a sale in the future or the possibility to offer it for rental. Katie Christopherson returned our enquiry by phone and then made an appointment to view the property. She then presented her market appraisal by email in a prompt and professional manner after viewing the property and discussing with us in person what we were wanting.
Due to our situation, it was some months before we next communicated with Williams Machin but Katie returned our call and explained what was happening in the market place since we had last talked. Her advice was accurate and clear.
Katie explained what we needed to do to commence the sale process. As our property had been empty for sometime, it required some repairs, yard maintenance and cleaning to bring it up to scratch, ready for open days. We live a long way from Orange and have few contacts in the town so Katie offered to help us find trades people to make the repairs. She was back to us with names and quotes within 2 days of our request and had them organised once we had approved. She has always returned our calls and answered our questions clearly. If she is unsure of anything she consults with more experienced people in the industry and comes back with the answers.
Katie has managed the property both while it was for sale and while it was under offer. She honoured her original quote for advertising and she consulted with the rental staff at Williams Machin as to which trades people and cleaners they used so that she could organise the best for us.
Our situation was sale of an estate and involved more than one vendor. It was a difficult situation which Katie managed with grace, professionalism and integrity. I found Katie to be what I was looking for in a real estate agent - market knowledge, customer service, honest and good communicator.
