My wife and I own a large rural property on the Sunshine Coast. It had been tenanted for the last 3 years. We asked the local rental agent to give us a valuation, it was seriously below what we felt the market price to be. They also expected almost $18K in commission. My wife suggested Purplebricks but I was put off by how cheap the selling fees were. Surely you get what you pay for? There must be a reason why selling a house costs almost $20K? I asked Katie Clack for some references of previous sellers and on the spot she provided 5 from the previous fortnight. I talked to all of them, and they were extremely impressed with Katie's knowledge, commitment and professionalism. They were all 100% satisfied with her performance. We were provided with a realistic sales target, very enticing website photos, and a simple way of reviewing all information regarding the property. None of this was pushed on us. Katie helped navigate our way through the many decisions that needed to be made. She was accommodating and professional at all times. In dealing with the buyers she was upfront and honest. Using the website to see offers directly, allowed a level of transparency we hadn't been afforded in previous property sales. In Summary -Our house sold after the first showing. -Everything was taken care of in a week.(contracts, lawyers, etc.) -There was no stress whatsoever. -The sales price exceeded our expectations. -Everything was completely transparent. Including every fee. -Katie even took care of the rental agent and concerns for our tenants. -We saved approximately $12-14k with Purplebricks. We cannot thank Katie enough for her services and efforts.

We have just sold our property (March 2018) Being Inter-state (and not on site) it was key that we could really trust our Agent. Having never sold in this way before we did have a number of reservations - however, they ALL just crumbled away. Other conventional Agents pitched to us. They scoffed at the fixed price and said only they could deliver the best value from the house. We bested all their estimates of sale price, proved them wrong - and saved in fees. Purplebricks works really well as a platform. However behind the technology - which drives down the costs - it's still the quality of the people behind that which make it work. I spoke to Katie Clack before we signed and it was obvious that she knew her market and had both the confidence and skill to negotiate a good price. The fact that we saved two thirds of a regular Agent's fee is more than a cherry on the cake. All the advertising, photos, viewings and a large part of the negotiating were conducted by Purplebricks. It took a week to prepare for sale and just 4 days to sell. There are certainly some differences to get used to in this approach - but if you have a realistic view on the value of your property it will sell AND you will save in fees. Just to mention Lawlab (Conveyancers) who are recommended by Purplebricks made the paperwork much easier - again with fixed fees. They use RUNDL another online platform. To conclude we achieved a fantastic sale in minimum time, with maximum results! Katie's assistant Gillian Stuart must also get a special mention as she did a superb job conducting all our viewings. We sold well and saved money in the process. What more can you ask ?? Well I'd ask for Katie Clack and Gillian Stuart.
