Deceptive experience – first home buyers, be extremely cautious
Instagram review for the property states Tricky Situation by seller, yes cause me as BUYER suffered the Trick
My experience buying a property through KC and his team member Sunset was an absolute nightmare. If you’re a first home buyer relying on the QLD First Home Buyer Grant, stay far away from this agent.
The property had a fixed-term lease, and KC repeatedly assured me the tenant had agreed to move out post-settlement. These promises were crucial to my grant eligibility. But the truth? The tenant had no idea the property had even been sold until I contacted her.
Worse, KC and his team fabricated an email, falsely claiming the tenant had agreed to vacate by early November 2024. This was written on her behalf, without her knowledge or consent. It was a blatant lie.
KC then took over property management under the false promise of “helping the tenant transition.” That never happened. He made zero effort to communicate with her, and I had to chase every step myself.
When the tenant finally left—through my own persistence—I walked into a horror scene: blood stains and feces left throughout the house, concealed under soft toys and furniture during inspections. It was disgusting and deliberate. Nothing about this was disclosed.
When I confronted KC, he deflected blame to the seller, denied responsibility, and offered no solutions. He manipulated the situation and ignored the legal obligations tied to the First Home Buyer Grant, putting me at massive financial and legal risk.
I’m not pursuing legal action only because I don’t have time to take it to court—but the damage is done.
KC and Sunset are not trustworthy. They bend rules, fake documents, and lie to close deals. First-home buyers: protect yourself. Don’t fall into the same trap I did.
