We first met Kev in 2016 when we had a number of agents appraise our home for sale. After speaking to a number of agents we decided to engage Kev to handle the sale of our house. It was not because he valued the house the highest as there were two agents who appraised the home at a higher value. We believed Kev was being realistic and honest. We were provided with very Advice in relation to the things that we needed to do to maximise the success of a sales campaign. Kev was very confident in how he wanted to handle the sale, the price he believed he could achieve and how the house could be best marketed. He was also open to all suggestions we had in relation to the sale. We unfortunately had a group of neighbours attempting to interfere with the sale which I know made it difficult to conduct open homes. Kev was aware of the situation and handled the situations professionally so as not to make genuine buyers aware that there were issues with some neighbours in our street. We were out of Cairns for the entire sale period and Kev kept in constant contact with us, keeping us appraised of very developement along the way. I received a call after every open home and inspection which I really appreciated. Real estate agents can get a bad wrap at times, however my experiences have for the most part been positive over the buying and selling of a number of properties in both Queensland and Victoria. I understand that things can get emotional during the buying and selling of a major asset, however Kev kept things very real and grounded, spoke to us very honestly, arranged mainatence works, rcccomeded a gardener, a stylist and he himself was even at our house picking up palm fronds to make the house more presentable. We were fortunate that we had buyers who didn’t want to play games, made a very realistic offer, Kev provided advice when we received an offer and we had very quick negotiations with the purchaser which resulted in a great result for both parties.
