We walked in and felt 'this is the one' from 5 acres on the edge of town to 925sqm 4 bedrooms was about what we were looking for. Despite the previous owners having a different idea about the meaning of 'spotless' to us, and many things that they should have fixed; examples: Range hood expired, many globes blown, doors with screws in hinge loosened so they'll shut, a door that wouldn't lock, a gas fire, fan sounding like a chaff cutter when it starts, and we even had to buy a floor plan from the Council because the owners said they couldn't afford $63 (despite the price we were about to pay) …. these are a few of the things come across. Even so, we are lucky we have change from the sale of our place and can afford to bring the place up to the home we want it to be. Looking at the market now we can see that it was the best buy despite about 8 weeks wait for refurbishing to be completed before we move in.
Three things stood out for me in the purchase experience from Kevin and Bathurst RE: 1. Excellent local knowledge of not only the property market but a willingness to share his experience as a landlord about any number of elements 2. Great communication during the whole purchase journey - including acting as a go between with me and the previous owners to elicit information 3. Responsiveness - Other then a one week period when he went in leave, Kevin responded to any Enquiries and requests promptly. I have no hesitation in recommending Kevin and Bathurst RE.
