Kylie was the selling agent for a unit I purchased recently. I have purchased many properties over the years and I always look at a selling agent from the point of view that they should be acting in their client's best interest, not the buyers. I have had many selling agents over the years not even return my queries or follow up with my inquiries on a property for days. I consider this poor selling and clearly the agent is not acting for their client or has no interest in trying to sell the property. I've had selling agents over the years who I felt have not taken me seriously when I have been a serious buyer. I found Kylie to be acting in the seller's interests but also warm, friendly, very helpful and engaging and took the time to find information about me as a buyer and showed a genuine interest rather than just a number. Kylie was able to give me all of the information I sought about the unit, body corporate and tenant on the spot. She also provided me with some information about the tenant which was reassuring to me as an investor (i.e. the tenant was a lovely person and wanted to continue staying on). Kylie listened to the feedback I gave in regards to why I could not offer asking price and she took that to the seller and explained to them why I came up with the offer I did. Kylie kept me informed of the stages regularly throughout the contract negotiation. She made the trip from the Gold Coast to Brisbane to have the contract signed. She also went as far as to contact body corporate about some common area issues I raised (rubbish in common area, items left in the common area, an abandoned vehicle). Kylie did not have to do this at all, particularly when the contract was about to be unconditional and this just shows she went above and beyond in her services to me and the seller. Kylie also provided open and honest feedback about the pest and building inspection which I was unable to attend in person. I know it was honest as it was reflect
