We recently purchased a property in the Gawler area advertised by this agent. Having not purchased for many years, we were surprised and disappointed by how much the level of service in real estate seems to have declined. Or perhaps it’s just this agency. It’s just as well that “houses are selling themselves” these days, because this agent certainly didn’t add much to the process. At the one and only open inspection, we were told offers were due within 24 hours. Despite the urgency, we then had to chase the agent just to submit our offer. After that… silence. Over a week passed with no communication, and we assumed we had been unsuccessful. Only to later find out we had actually secured the property. During settlement, there was no shortage of urgency when something was required from us. However, when we needed information to complete forms or organise insurance etc there was no response to our emails, texts, phone calls. On settlement day, we heard nothing at all. Thankfully, our conveyancer and bank kept us informed throughout. If you’re after an agent who will keep you informed, supported, and engaged, you may want to keep looking. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend this agency. Perhaps a vendor may have a different experience than we did as buyers.
