Originally from the small coastal town of Walpole, where my family were beef farmers and fishermen, I grew up with a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. I first came to Hedland in 2008 as part of a drill and blast crew, which gave me the chance to explore much of the stunning Pilbara outback. When I eventually settled in Hedland, I experienced firsthand the challenges of the rental market during its boom years, paying those high rents that many still remember.
Over the years, I worked for several local businesses, contributing to their growth from small teams of five to thriving operations with up to 40 employees. This journey helped me hone my skills in bookkeeping, business strategy, and management while deepening my appreciation for Hedland’s ever-evolving business landscape. I fell in love with the endless opportunities this town offers and the resilience of its people.
In 2017, I joined Hedland Property Shop as the Trust Accounts and General Manager. I quickly identified areas where we could elevate our service and build stronger connections with the local community. Under the mentorship of industry legend Jim Henneberry, I was empowered to develop strategies that would drive the agency’s success.
Since then, my role has expanded significantly. From managing accounts to overseeing commercial leasing and sales, residential property management, and eventually leading the residential sales team, I’ve taken every opportunity to grow with the business. In 2021, I became the sole Director and Licensee of Hedland Property Shop.
Today, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. Our team has more than doubled in size, and every member is fully trained, licensed, and based right here in Hedland. We focus on providing exceptional service to our clients, extending beyond Port Hedland to Broome, Onslow, and Newman.
What I love most about my work is the chance to keep improving and contributing to the community I care so deeply about. Hedland is a place of growth, resilience, and opportunity, and I’m honored to play a part in its ongoing success.
