To his credit, Leon was responsive, enthusiastic and committed to the task. However, my top priority (like many sellers) was a good price and Leon's top priority (unfortunately like many agents) was a quick turnover. As an experienced property player and confident in what my property was worth, I trusted my gut and found myself having to forcefully negotiate and pushback with Leon, to ensure that my price expectation was met, whilst Leon used many of the common "conditioning tactics" from the moment the sales agency agreement was signed to persuade me to lower my price. The buyer also informed me that when they were quite interested in purchasing and attempted to deal directly with Leon as the leading agent, he referred them straight back to his junior, who was unavailable.
