The main key to Linda’s success was the way that she followed up all enquiries whether made online or through the 6 open home inspections held over 3 weeks. On top of that she used her large database of people who had shown an interest in previous sales of relevant properties to enquire whether this house might also attract them. She also contacted people in the neighborhood directly to sound out possible interest. The exhaustive research that Linda carried out meant that she knew the registered bidders and their appropriate backgrounds and aspirations for the property. Clearly this paid off in the later phases of the auction when she was able to identify and sometimes also politely check on the competing bidders. We have never sold a house by auction before and had concerns about the uncertainties apparent in the process. However, Linda proved very pleasant to deal with and straightforward about the requirements and prospects associated with the sale, even to the extent of enabling the involvement in the process of our daughter and son, directly and by phone.
