Whilst we were initially excited to go with Linda to list our home it became very evident that we had made the wrong decision. What we were led to believe in the beginning was not to be the case in the end. We were divided between Linda and another agent but went with Linda as she told/ convinced us to list at a certain amount- Offers Over....as on average of all sales of late she was exceeding the Offers Over price by at least $100K more and was very confident our sale would be no different- That was her big selling point. We received a contract some weeks later that was only $20K over not $100K and told that we should serious consider as was a good offer to then have Linda come back to us after a building inspection that showed up a couple of things that were very minimal but we were asked to reduce our agreed price by $5K which from an agents perspective meant very little change to their commission structure. We felt at the time we had no choice due to our circumstances but soon wished we had not accepted what we did as looking back appeared to be more in the best interest of the agent? As nice a person as Linda is don't be fooled and do your diligence as unfortunately in our instance she talked the talk but did not walk the walk....
