I was considering selling my block of land perhaps 18 months ago. I looked online to see properties similar to mine in the same area to get a feel for the market and perhaps find an agent. Straight away Liz's ads stood out for there depth of information. I rang Liz and we chatted for a while and she said I should camp on the block before considering selling it as I might change my mind. Liz lives in the area and is passionate about it and felt that I might feel the same if I camped there. I said to Liz "don't sell my block? you don't sound like a real estate agent to me" and she said "I'm not like regular real estate agents" or words to that affect, and she's not. I perhaps mistakenly put real estate agents in the same basket as lawyers and politicians, they're not really known for their honesty. There was no pressure. Anyway circumstances changed I decided not to sell at that time but this too changed about 2 months ago. I did end up camping on the block then drove the short distance and met Liz in person. A month later I said sell it and within a few days she had a potential buyer, we didn't even have to advertise, which saved me a little bit of money. A month later it was all settled and I got a better price than I thought I would of. I'm sure sales don't always go as smoothly as this but when someone lives locally, is passionate about the area, has a good feel for the market and already has potential buyers then a sale is more likely assured. I believe the purchasers of the property were also very pleased. Anyway thanks Liz, don't change anything.
