We engaged Mal Hemblin at Elders to sell our Lennox property on the suggestion of close friends there. We did not know him and accepted advice from trusted friends who did. He seemed knowledgable and honest, as much as outsiders can judge, and proceeded to guide us into setting goals for a sale. There were some patch-up jobs required for presentation and some market studies to arrive at a price. We elected to set a price 20% above his estimate (based on recent similar sales) and, rather than discourage us and go for an easy sell, Mal said "Let's go with that ..... you can easily fall back if there's no interest" Our property was lasted the day after we finished our preparation, and sold the next day to one of Mal's waiting buyers, at price well above our listing figure .......
