I found Malek to be very helpful and his communication was very good. If I have a criticism, it's that he strung the auction out a little too much. I didn't have any experience bidding at auctions, so I guess that's part of their job, to give prospective bidders time to think about their options, reassess their positions, and milk the price up a bit?? Overall, I was satisfied with the conduct of the auction and paid about what I expected to pay, which was almost 10% above the top of the agent's estimated range. I didn't think for a second that it would sell for a price within the published estimate after I had researched other properties that had sold in the area. Estimated range $760,000 - $790,000.....selling price $862,000.
