Manuel Vlandis, my wife Anne and I met many years ago when we purchased an investment property in Holt, ACT. We purchased the property through another real estate agent but Manuel asked politely if he could add us to his newsletter database. We received his newsletter regularly over the years plus twice a year he would call us for a chat about the Canberra real estate market and our status on buying further investment properties or selling our current investment properties. In 2017 we decided to sell one of our investment properties in Dunlop, on the advice of our Financial Adviser. We used the Real Estate Agency that was property managing our Dunlop property but did not get a prospective buyer to register as a bidder at the auction. We went home with our tail firmly between our legs to lick our wounds. Some 4 months later Manuel called for his bi-annual chat and I asked him to view our investment property in Dunlop and tell me how he would go about selling it and what he felt it was worth. Manuel pulled no punches - he advised we had to spend money on the property to get it up to a strong selling standard if we wanted to realise its true value. He then estimated what it would sell for as is and what sale price it could reach if we followed his advice. Anne and I decided to employ Manuel because of his truthful bluntness and his willingness to help us with the project of improving the property by introducing us to the right people. (we shopped around but could not better the quotes from the people to whom Manuel introduced). Manuel advertised the house brilliantly and opened the house no less than 6 times before and on the auction date and gave us a detailed report the day after each open session. On Auction day we had 2 couples register to bid and we sold the property at the price Manuel said we could achieve. I will be using Manuel to sell our last remaining investment property. I highly recommend Manuel as he is the quintessential professional.
