After leasing my investment property, being a home unit at Lakemba, NSW, for several years, the time had come for me to sell the unit to pay for renovations at my own residence at Beverley Park, NSW. As soon as I had made the announcement to Ralph Real Estate that I had decided to sell, Marc was very quick to contact me and was enthusiastic about selling my unit throughout the entire process. Marc had 'spread the word' to people who had enquired about buying property similar to mine and called them all in for an early inspection of the premises prior to advertising. The unit had received a new paint job and new carpet. I wanted to do some cleaning up after the tradesmen had left and I had not finished what I wanted to do prior to the inspection. I spoke with Marc and asked him if I could stay and continue the clean-up. Marc wisely advised me to continue cleaning up but to not say anything to anyone. I continued to clean up the premises, I did not announce that I was the owner of the premises, the potential buyers must have thought that I was only a cleaner, which was good because I could watch them and listen to their comments while I washed windows. I would have accepted the sum of $400,000.00 for the premises, I would have been happier if I had received $410.000.00 but I was ecstatic when Marc approached me during the inspection and showed me a piece of paper with an offer of $420.000.00 on it. My immediate response to Marc was, "take it!" The person who made that offer bought the unit at that price. I am very happy with Marc and the way he controlled and co-ordinated the sale of my property. Marc kept me informed on a daily basis as to what was happening, which I consider very good customer service.
